Clinics Can Help is Empowering Independence.
Clinics Can Help connects people to safe, low-cost medical equipment in a supportive circle of care. Our model of organized recycling advances health equity by ensuring every child and adult can access the supplies they need for healthy recovery, protection from injury, and the mobility, independence and dignity to sustain a quality level of life.
CCH Clients
Who are our clients? They are community members throughout Palm Beach County and beyond, including neighboring countries experiencing natural disasters or crises. We provide for all ages, capabilities and stages of life, from infants to elders. Whether newborn or at the end of life, we assure that every person has access to the medical equipment and supplies they need for their safety, comfort and dignity.
Creating Access
How is CCH building health equity and access for clients? CCH is at the center of an in-depth referral network of partners and supporters including free clinics, local hospitals and more than 200 nonprofit agencies in Palm Beach County alone. Information providers, such as 211, also refer clients to Clinics Can Help. However, a significant majority comes to us by word-of-mouth through our strong community circle.
Equipping Health
Where do we get our equipment? Most of the equipment we receive comes from Palm Beach County residents who see us as a community resource for donating what they no longer need and what they hope will help someone else. Over the years, CCH has received new and used durable medical equipment and supplies from individuals, medical supply companies, hospitals, schools and the “lending closets” of other nonprofits.
Being There
How does the process work? Clients fill out simple paperwork that allows CCH to track who uses our services and why, then our trained staff and volunteers lend out clean, reliable and safe equipment from our West Palm Beach headquarters and warehouse.
Clinics Can Help staff teach proper use and care of all equipment from cribs to hospital beds, ensuring safety, comfort, and performance. CCH staff and volunteer members conduct periodic check-ups with clients and family to ensure they are satisfied and the equipment is still in use.
