PALM BEACH COUNTY, Fla. – Clinics Can Help (CCH), the West Palm Beach-based nonprofit helping to enable access to healthcare to all through the donation of medical equipment and supplies, made some changes to its annual golf tournament but were thrilled with the continued support of the community and sponsors.

The 7th annual event, which took place on October 30th, 2020 at Wellington National Golf Club, over six months after its original scheduled date.

The reduced foursome tournament was sold out at thirty foursomes. CBS 12 morning anchor Matt Lincoln once again served as event chair, and longtime supporter of CCH Dana Quigley served as honorary chair.

“We are grateful to continue to have the support of great leaders, the support of loyal golfers and a committee that works tirelessly to see our organization grow,” said CCH Chief Executive Officer Owen O’Neill. “Incredibly, we have seen a year where we have helped a record number of clients. With monies raised at this event we can continue to support those who need us, when they need us and continue to build partnerships to reach even more children and adults in need.”

Taking home the top prize and winners title was the foursome of retired MLB pitcher Dennis Martinez, who was joined by Jeff Bracket, Angel Cotto and Fred Pintaluba. Closest to the pin went to Linda Raybon for the women’s category and Fernando Fernandez in the men’s category. Angie Neihoff and Dan Touchet took home the recognition for Longest Drive in their respective categories.

The 7th annual Golf Classic raised more than $40,000 for Clinics Can Help’s KINDER Project, which supports getting medical equipment to children with special needs. Many of the children in CCH’s KINDER Project are affected by serious medical conditions and would not be able to afford the supplies and equipment that enables them to lead more independent lives.

“Bringing this equipment to children, and their families, is not something that should be a luxury. These are items they need to live. We are working towards a world where those in need can get the equipment to thrive, regardless of their ability to pay,” added O’Neill.

In the last year alone, Clinics Can Help granted more than $1,400,000 in reusable medical equipment and supplies for those most in need. And with the many donations of materials and funds, CCH was able to impact thousands of lives of area residents.
